Job summary

Neste is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for the Renewable Products Refining Technical department in Rotterdam (Maasvlakte). You will lead mid-to-long term unit operations, support Operations, and drive safe, reliable performance and continuous improvement.

You will report to the Process Engineering Supervisor and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure compliant and efficient refinery operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in chemical engineering is a requirement.
• 5 years of relevant work experience in petrochemical and/or industrial production.
• Experience with commissioning and start up of a new refinery is a strong preference.
• Based in the Netherlands and authorized to work in NL.

Responsibilities

• Technical expert of technology assigned unit.
• Identify deviations and provide pragmatic solutions in line with guidelines.
• Operate assigned unit within environmental boundaries.
• Unit performance monitoring related to compliance and process safety.
• Unit performance monitoring related to efficiency (energy, variable costs and OEE).
• Initiate and develop improvement ideas in a systematic manner.
• Shutdown/Start-up support during planned and unplanned events.
• Reviewer of operational shut-down/ start-up instructions.
