Job summary

Neste, the world’s leading producer of renewable diesel and SAF, seeks a Senior Process Engineer in Rotterdam (Maasvlakte). You will report to the Process Engineering Supervisor and work with Operations and Maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient refinery operations.

You will own assigned unit performance, drive improvements, and support startup/shutdown events. A chemical engineering degree and 5+ years in petrochemical environments are required; on-site work in the Netherlands is

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in chemical engineering is a requirement.
5+ years of relevant work experience in petrochemical and/or industrial production.
Experience with commissioning and start-up of a new refinery is a strong preference.

Responsibilities

Technical expert of technology assigned unit.
Identify deviations and provide pragmatic solutions in line with guidelines.
Ensure to operate assigned unit within environmental boundaries.
Unit performance monitoring related to compliance and process safety.
Unit performance monitoring related to efficiency (energy, variable costs, and OEE).
Initiate and develop improvement ideas in a systematic manner.
Shut-down/Start-up support during planned and unplanned events.
Reviewer of operational shut-down/start-up instructions.
