Job summary

Picnic in Utrecht is looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to keep a world-class automated distribution centre running. You will drive data-driven maintenance, coordinate activities and shape the site maintenance strategy to maximise availability.

With strong CMMS skills, you will forecast needs, spot failure trends early, and translate insights into actions with engineers, analysts, and site leadership to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Mechanically qualified to EQF Level 3.
• Experience using a computerised maintenance management tool at an expert level.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Strong office and administration tool skills.
• Basic proficiency in English in written and spoken form.
• VCA qualification or equivalent health and safety certification.
• Experience in a similar industry.
• Ability to lead and develop an asset care maintenance plan.
• Experience delivering continuous improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead as CMMS key user for the resident site and train the Lifetime Services team.
• Coordinate all planned, unplanned, and statutory maintenance activities.
• Liaise with clients on plant availability and maintenance planning requirements.
• Manage the work backlog to stay achievable and aligned with priorities.
• Update planned maintenance schedules based on feedback and continuous improvement.
• Uphold maintenance procedures for recording, controlling, and reporting performance.
• Collaborate with on-site technicians to standardise asset care and best practices.
• Ensure all asset documentation is accurate, up-to-date and compliant.

As Maintenance Coordinator at Picnic's automated site in Utrecht, you ensure maximum system availability through smart, data-driven maintenance. You coordinate maintenance activities, drive continuous improvements, and contribute to the development and implementation of the site's maintenance strategy.

By analysing performance data, forecasting maintenance needs, and identifying failure trends at an early stage, you help prevent downtime before it impacts operations. Working closely with engineers, analysts, and site leadership, you turn insights into actions that improve reliability, efficiency, and performance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

• You lead as the CMMS key user for the resident site and train the responsible Lifetime Services team on the use of the tool
• You coordinate all planned, unplanned, and statutory maintenance activities
• You liaise with clients on plant availability and maintenance planning requirements
• You manage the work backlog to ensure it remains achievable and aligned with operational priorities
• You update planned maintenance work and schedules in line with feedback, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintenance effort expended
• You uphold the integrity of maintenance procedures and systems for recording, controlling, and providing feedback on performance, quality reports, and asset lifecycle plans
• You work closely with on-site technical specialists to ensure asset care standardisation and best practice implementation
• You ensure all asset documentation remains accurate, up to date, and compliant with operational requirements
• You ensure spare holdings are effectively controlled, maintaining stock accuracy and appropriate min/max levels at all times, including during peak maintenance periods

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• You are mechanically qualified to EQF Level 3
• You have experience using a computerised maintenance management tool at an expert level
• You demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels
• You possess strong office and administration tool skills
• You demonstrate a minimum of basic proficiency in the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken form
• You hold a VCA qualification or equivalent health and safety certification
• You have worked in a similar industry
• You have demonstrated the ability to lead and develop an asset care maintenance plan
• You are skilled in the delivery of continuous improvement processes within the workplace
