Job summary

Da Vinci is seeking a Low Latency Engineer to work with traders, quant researchers and C++ engineers to push latency down by micro- or nanoseconds wherever possible. You will own projects from design to production, optimizing algorithms and the trading stack for speed, scalability and reliability.

The role involves collaboration with traders and researchers, building monitoring tools, and handling deployment and maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in developing C++ low-latency systems within a trading environment.
• Deep understanding of modern computer architecture and high-performance code design.
• Expertise in architecture, configuration, and optimization of network and server components.

Responsibilities

• Reduce latency to an absolute minimum across high-throughput network applications.
• Identify and eliminate code inefficiencies, optimise latency across the system.
• Build monitoring tools for RTT metrics using tools like ClickHouse and Grafana.
• Deploy, monitor and tweak systems to bring projects to completion.
• Investigate opportunities and solve problems with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
