Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to work with traders, operations, exchanges, and developers to optimize the trading environment and solve system issues. You will monitor platform health, troubleshoot complex problems, and design network infrastructure for low-latency trading across data centers.

Ideal candidates have a CS/Engineering background, strong Linux/UNIX skills, Python experience, and the ability to collaborate under pressure in a fast-paced, global team.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux/UNIX and shell scripting.
• Proficient in Python.
• Understanding of networking concepts (routing, multicast, Ethernet).
• Ability to work under pressure in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor health and performance of the trading platform.
• Troubleshoot complex system, software, and networking issues.
• Design and optimize network infrastructure for low-latency trading across data centers.
• Build automation to manage the production trading environment.
• Coordinate changes with risk management and trading teams.
• Document processes and procedures; handle additional duties as needed.
