Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Team Leader for our Amsterdam, Schiphol-Rijk site. You will lead a small team, coordinate activities across scrap management, returns inventory and order processing, and drive continuous improvements.

You will report to the Warehouse Manager, maintain daily operations, ensure safety and KPI achievement, and develop team members through coaching. Fluency in English and experience in logistics are required, with rotating shifts 06:00–15:00 and 13:00–22:00.

Qualifications

• Experience as a team leader in logistics, warehousing or similar operational setting.
• Strong communication skills in English at all levels.
• Proficiency with SAP and Excel for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage team performance and develop team members through coaching and training.
• Achieve operational KPIs and monitor performance metrics.
• Assign tasks and monitor completion for accuracy.
• Maintain a safe working environment and address employee relations issues.
• Champion health, safety and environment (HSE) mindset.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using 5S, Lean and Kaizen.
• Coordinate start-up activities with cross-functional teams.
• Support hiring, performance reviews and promotions decisions.
• Liaise with internal and external customers on operational matters.
• Plan staffing and workload for the team.
