Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics in Tholen is seeking a Logistics Team Leader to oversee inbound/outbound processes and drive safe, efficient operations. You will lead a team of 5–10 colleagues, set priorities, and ensure quality and results on a daily basis.

Use your leadership experience to coach and develop the team, coordinate with Customer Service, and partner with the Warehouse Manager to keep the operation on track and continuously improve.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in warehouse or logistics environment.
• Flexible mindset; ability to work day shifts and potentially two shifts.
• Good command of English; ability to guide colleagues and manage daily operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound and/or outbound processes for one or more customers, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Coach and direct a team of 5–10 colleagues, providing clear guidance and aiming for safety, quality and results.
• Coordinate daily warehouse activities, keep a high-level overview, set priorities, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and the Warehouse Manager to keep the operation on track and act as a trusted partner.

Together with a team of 5 to 10 colleagues, you ensure that the inbound and/or outbound processes for one or more customers run smoothly and efficiently. You keep an overview, set the right priorities, and focus on safety, quality, and results. With your experience, leadership, and energy, you ensure that people and processes work together effectively. This is how you contribute every day to a safe, efficient, and successful operation. How you do this? By being at the heart of the operation, visible to your team, and encouraging employees to get the best out of themselves. You coach, provide direction, and keep a close eye on where processes can be improved or made more efficient. At the same time, you communicate easily with Customer Service and act as a trusted sparring partner for the Warehouse Manager. When the Warehouse Manager is absent, you naturally take responsibility and keep the operation on track. You achieve this by:

• continuously looking for ways to work smarter and better and turning improvement opportunities into concrete actions;
• providing clear guidance and coaching, motivating and developing your team while working together towards results;
• leading by example when it comes to safety and ensuring that procedures and guidelines are followed within the team;
• managing and coordinating the daily warehouse operation, keeping an overview, setting priorities, and ensuring that activities run smoothly and efficiently.

You bring

• relevant leadership experience within a warehouse or logistics environment, for example as a Team Lead or in a similar role;
• a flexible mindset and the willingness to work day shifts and, in the future, to move to a two-shift schedule depending on operational needs;
• a good command of English, enabling you to communicate clearly, guide colleagues, and effectively manage the daily operation.

• salary according to DSV collective labor agreement and dependent on knowledge and experience, leading up to €3.632,40 gross per month, based on 40 hours a week, plus 8% holiday allowance;
