Job summary

ASICS EMEA in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, seeks a Logistics Specialist to manage complete inbound logistics from factories to Europe distribution centres. You will orchestrate sea, air, and road shipments, collaborate with factories, freight forwarders and planning teams to optimise delivery performance and minimise costs.

The role requires hands-on logistics operations experience, SAP or TMS familiarity, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of operational logistics or supply chain experience.
• Hands-on experience with sea, road, and air transportation operations.
• Experience with SAP and/or a Transport Management System or comparable systems.
• Strong analytical and cost management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end inbound logistics from factories to the distribution centre network across all transport modes.
• Execute shipment operations including bookings, tracking, lead time monitoring and final-mile planning.
• Handle exception management for delays and delivery risks while minimising costs.
• Coordinate with factories, freight forwarders, carriers, Supply Planning teams and Distribution Centres.
• Maintain transportation and system information and support freight and spend analysis.
• Identify opportunities for operational process enhancements and drive automation and reporting improvements.
• Monitor and improve carrier performance and act as main point of contact for logistics requests.

Job description

Located at our EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam, you'll contribute to our mission by managing the complete inbound logistics operations that ensure our products flow efficiently from factories across the globe to our distribution centres throughout Europe. As a Logistics Specialist, you'll orchestrate shipments across sea, air, and road transport modes whilst collaborating with key partners to optimise delivery performance and minimise costs, playing a vital role in keeping our supply chain running smoothly.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Manage end-to-end inbound logistics operations from factories through ports to the distribution centre network across all transport modes including sea, air and road.
• Execute shipment operations including bookings, tracking, lead time monitoring and final-mile planning to ensure efficient product flows.
• Handle exception management for delays and delivery risks whilst maintaining optimal service delivery and minimising costs.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including factories, freight forwarders, carriers, Supply Planning teams and Distribution Centres.
• Maintain accurate transportation and system information whilst supporting freight and spend analysis.
• Identify and implement opportunities for operational process enhancement and drive automation and reporting improvements.
• Monitor and improve carrier performance whilst acting as the main point of contact for logistics-related requests and performance management.

You have the following skills:

• 4-5 years of operational logistics or supply chain experience.
• Hands-on experience with sea, road, and air transportation operations.
• Experience working with SAP and/or a Transport Management System, or comparable transportation/logistics systems
• Strong analytical and cost management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
