Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Process Engineer in Heerlen, Netherlands. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills to improve logistics processes and tackle bottlenecks.

You will collaborate with Site Engineers and Business Analysts and lead Lean improvement initiatives. This role promises dynamic challenges that support your professional development.

Qualifications

• HBO or university education in logistics and/or technical business administration or comparable.
• Knowledge of and experience with complex logistics processes.
• Command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.
• Quantitative insight, analytical ability, good communication skills, ability to work on a project basis.
• Knowledge of office software, excellent command of Excel.

Job description

As a Logistics Process Engineer you will deal with issues related to various processes within warehousing. You will use your analytical and numerical skills to improve processes or identify bottlenecks. Together with a team consisting of Site Engineers, Business Information Analysts and Data Analysts, you are the brains of the entire operation.

You will carry out your work within the day shift and report your findings to the C.I. Manager.

What does your day look like as a Logistics Process Engineer

• Identify, design and improve logistics processes, Lean working methods and tools.
• Analyzing data and making (cost price) calculations
• Record processes in flow charts and physical layouts
• Supervising the implementation of new processes
• Supervising Lean improvement projects (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Waste Reduction) and - coaching improvement teams
• Capturing improvement proposals in business cases

What Do You Need To Be Successful

• HBO or university education in logistics and/or technical business administration or comparable
• Knowledge of and experience with complex logistics processes
• Command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing
• Quantitative insight, analytical ability, good communication skills, ability to work on a project basis, - steering improvement teams, accuracy, independence
• Knowledge of office software, excellent command of Excel
