Job summary

GEODIS is a leading international logistics provider. The Logistics Engineer role focuses on design, optimization, and implementation of logistics processes across customer implementations and migrations to new systems.

You will bridge warehousing, transport, IT, and facilities and work at GEODIS CL sites in the Netherlands. You will handle data analysis, process design, cost modelling, and system solutions while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working and thinking level.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in logistics engineering.
• Detailed knowledge of logistics processes (warehousing and value added services).
• Knowledge of integration with transport and customs is an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI and AutoCAD (LT/3D) is an asset.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and affinity with IT systems.
• Strong analytical skills, communicative in Dutch and English (a second foreign language is a plus).
• Proactive, independent, and persuasive in advising and presenting.
• Certificate of Conduct (VOG) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Structure and plan activities according to GEODIS engineering methodology.
• Data analysis and process design across projects.
• Create detailed warehouse layouts and process flows; validate choices and costs.
• Develop functional system solutions and cost models from data.
• Prepare presentations with key data, designs, and assumptions; present to clients.
• Support implementation, workshops, testing, data sets for WMS, and go-live activities.
• Measure results and implement corrective actions; update cost models and docs.
• Ensure compliance with STS-QSE policies and ISO standards.
