Job summary

GEODIS CL Netherlands B.V. seeks a Lead Solution Design Engineer to lead the Solution Design team in the Netherlands and design tailored logistics solutions for clients. You will collaborate across departments, from contract extensions to process redesign, ensuring quality and compliance.

The role emphasizes independent project execution, optimization of design methods, and stakeholder management in an international logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working and thinking level.
• At least 5 years of experience in solution design/logistics engineering and 3 years in team management.
• Detailed knowledge of logistics processes and integration with transport and customs.
• Proficiency in Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint; Power BI and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities of the Solution Design team and report to management.
• Guide the team in developing design options and validate them to meet client requirements.
• Standardize methods and outputs to improve the GEODIS solution design methodology.
• Coordinate with Business Development and Key Account Management.
• Ensure quality according to laws, internal procedures and ISO standards.
• Translate policy into practical processes and drive improvement proposals.
• Lead independent solution design projects and deliver high‑quality logistics solutions.
