Job summary

GLS Wijchen zoekt een Warehouse Employee om te zorgen dat pakketten tijdig vertrekken vanuit het magazijn. Je staat dagelijks midden in de actie, werkt samen met een ondersteunend team, sorteert, laadt en distribueert vrachtwagens en bewaakt nauwkeurigheid in een snelle omgeving.

Het werk vindt plaats in avonden/nachten van maandag tot vrijdag. Het bedrijf biedt een bruto uurloon van €14,99 tot €22,49, reiskostenvergoeding en uitzicht op een vast dienstverband na tijdelijk contract.

Qualifications

• Spreekt basis Engels.

Responsibilities

• Lossen van inkomende vrachtwagens.
• Sorteer pakketten op route en bestemming.
• Ophalen en laden van uitgaande vrachtwagens.
• Controleer pakketten op schade of problemen.
• Rapporteer beschadigde of verkeerde zendingen.
• Houd het magazijn schoon, georganiseerd en veilig.
• Draagt bij aan het halen van dagelijkse targets.

Wat je gaat doen

As a Warehouse Employee at GLS Wijchen, you help make sure parcels leave the warehouse safely and on time. This role keeps you active throughout your shift, working alongside a supportive team to ensure parcels are sorted, loaded, and dispatched on time. You'll face the challenge of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment while staying physically engaged. Basic English communication skills and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are essential for this role.

Together with your colleagues, you will:

• unload incoming trucks;
• sort parcels by route and destination;
• load outgoing trucks safely and efficiently;
• check parcels for damage or other problems;
• report damaged or incorrect parcels;
• keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe;
• help your team meet the daily targets.

You work from Monday to Friday in an evening or night shift:

• Evening shift: 17:00-02:00;
• Night shift: 23:00-08:00.The GLS warehouse is located in Wijchen, near Nijmegen.

Because public transport may not be available before or after your shift, you need your own reliable transport. You can travel to the warehouse by car, bicycle or scooter.

Your gross hourly wage depends on the hours you work and the applicable shift allowance:

• 17:00-20:00: €14.99 per hour;
• 20:00-00:00: €16.30 per hour;
• 00:00-06:00: €16.68 per hour;
• Friday night: up to €22.49 per hour.

Experience as a Warehouse Worker, Logistics Employee, Parcel Sorter or Order Picker is helpful, but not required.
