Job summary

ING’s Wholesale Bank - Transaction Services team is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to lead operations for critical internet-facing applications. You will design, develop, test, deploy and operate software with a strong automation focus through CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.

You will mentor peers, participate in root-cause analyses, and drive improvements in deployment, monitoring, and reliability within a Scrum environment. Fluency in English and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in software engineering, computer science or IT or equivalent.
• Strong Linux command line and Bash scripting experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Ansible and configuration management.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring stack and messaging (Kafka, EMS, MQ).
• Experience with testing (Unit/Integration/Regression).
• Relational DB knowledge, especially Oracle.
• Proactive, hands-on attitude and good English communication.

As an Ops Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of monitoring, managing, testing, deploying, and operating applications. You observe their technical behaviour and performance across all facets. Your proactive approach will involve identifying and addressing operational issues while spearheading the ongoing enhancement of deployment automation through our Azure pipelines. • Experience and abilities in coaching and mentoring other squad members, including providing guidance, sharing knowledge and promoting a cooperative team environment.
• Participate in Root Cause Analyses and help implement improvements.

• Good experience in Linux commands and bash scripting
