Job summary

Metalyte Pipeworks Limited in Rotterdam seeks a Leak Sealing and Composite Repair Technician. You will train in live leak sealing and composite repair, progressing from a repair team member to a team lead.

The role requires mobility to onshore/offshore sites, and substantial travel in the Netherlands and internationally. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, along with a safety passport and rope access certification.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent.
• Rope access (IRATA Level 1).
• Right to work in the EU.
• Willingness to travel 75% and mobilise to offshore/onshore sites.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Travel to onshore and offshore sites to stop leaks or repair pipelines.
• Perform composite wrapping and clamp installation to industry standards.
• Support emergency response operations safely and efficiently.
• Liaise with client site engineers and provide project documentation/updates.
• Attend training on leak-stopping and composite repair techniques.
• Support sales personnel during technical pitches when required.
• Take care of stock management in the Netherlands.
• Mobilise abroad to mainland Europe, UK and further afield.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to onshore and offshore sites (sometimes at short notice) to stop leaks or repair pipelines suffering wall loss (corrosion, erosion, etc.).
• Perform composite wrapping and clamp installation to industry standards.
• Support emergency response operations safely and efficiently.
• Liaise with client site engineers and provide project documentation/updates.
• Attend training on leak-stopping and composite repair techniques.
• Support sales personnel during technical pitches when required.
• Take care of stock management in the Netherlands
• Mobilise abroad to mainland Europe, UK and further afield (West Africa, Azerbaijan and the Middle East)
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
• Flexible and able to mobilise quickly, including evenings/weekends
• Willing to work offshore and abroad
• Valid driving licence.
• Right to work in the EU
• Able to mobilise away from home on projects that may take you away from home for up to three weeks at a time.
• Prior engineering/trade experience (construction, plumbing, mechanical, fitting)
• CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent
• Rope access (IRATA Level 1)
• Experience in craft repair, technical drawings, or clamp measuring/fitting
• Strong problem-solving ability, teamwork, and a "can-do" attitude
