Job summary

Rotterdam Engineering BV is seeking a Project Leader to convert client needs and stakeholder requirements into detailed designs that the project team will execute. You will oversee the project scope, budget, and timeline, while guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities include client coordination, stakeholder management, and permit documentation. The role covers diverse disciplines and offers opportunities for growth within a people-oriented engineering

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
• A technical HBO or WO degree (Mechanical/Civil/Aerospace).
• Strong organizational skills and clear communication.
• Independent thinker and assertive in beliefs.
• Good understanding of stakeholders' interests.
• Flexible and curious; able to see a broad perspective.
• Proactive and solution-oriented; works well solo or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client needs and develop a technical brief for the team.
• Identify stakeholders and ensure their requirements are reflected in the design.
• Prepare documentation for permits and manage project scope, budget, and timeline.
• Supervise colleagues handling designs, calculations, reports and analyses.
• Oversee project development across multiple disciplines (Water, Hydrogen, Heat, Steam, Natural Gas, Drinking Water).
