Job summary

HID Global in the Netherlands is seeking a System Engineer to join the SDI development teams in Veldhoven. The role focuses on developing and maintaining an architecture for SDI products, translating it into practical concepts using electronics, software and mechanical capabilities.

The engineer leads multidisciplinary teams, translates customer needs into future-proof architectures, and works with Product Marketing to shape roadmaps while supporting sales in early discussions with customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
Leadership and people management skills.
Experience in system design.
Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead determination system architecture for new products and processes, combining electronics, mechanics and software.
Translate architecture into concepts and solutions; monitor specifications.
Collaborate with Product Marketing to create long-term roadmaps and discuss with customers future developments.
Support Sales by explaining concepts and prototypes to customers; translate feedback into changes.
Communicate with a multidisciplinary Engineering team in Dutch and English; ensure architecture fits overall system.
