Job summary

Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor to drive research in photonic integration and IC design. You will develop new fabrication-enabled techniques and collaborate across disciplines to push miniaturization and novel integration paradigms.

You will teach and supervise MSc/PhD students, contribute to the university's educational mission, and pursue national/European funding through Horizon Europe and related programs.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
• Experience with photonics fabrication or related technologies.
• Proven ability to secure research funding and grants.
• Experience in teaching and supervising students at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop new research lines on photonic integrated circuit design and/or integration technologies and realise prototypes with impact.
• Collaborate across disciplines to explore integrated systems and new paradigms.
• Teach and develop BSc/MSc courses, supervise PhD students and postdocs.
• Acquire research funding from national and European programs and industry.
