Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Production Manager a.i. to lead daily production across multiple lines and shifts in Utrecht. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency while driving KPI performance and continuous improvement.

You will manage workforce planning, develop a high-performing team, and collaborate with Maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime. The 6‑month, full‑time, on-site contract starts ASAP.

Qualifications

• HBO or Bachelor-level degree required.
• Experience in manufacturing or production leadership.
• Familiarity with operational excellence methods (Lean, TPM, Kaizen, 5S).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production across multiple lines and shifts.
• Uphold safety, quality, compliance and operational efficiency.
• Drive KPI management and data‑driven improvement initiatives.
• Manage workforce planning, staffing and capacity.
• Develop and coach a high‑performing production leadership team.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Ensure adherence to procedures, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead improvement projects focused on productivity, waste reduction and cost optimization.
