Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Production Manager a.i. to lead daily production across multiple lines and shifts in Utrecht. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency while driving KPI performance and continuous improvement.

You will manage workforce planning, develop a high-performing team, and collaborate with Maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime. The 6‑month, full‑time, on-site contract starts ASAP.

Qualifications

• HBO or Bachelor-level degree required.
• Experience in manufacturing or production leadership.
• Familiarity with operational excellence methods (Lean, TPM, Kaizen, 5S).

• Collaborate closely with Maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to operational procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead improvement projects focused on productivity, process stability, waste reduction, and cost optimization.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

For this role as Production Manager a.i.

• HBO/Bachelor-level working and thinking capability.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong people management skills and a proven ability to lead through others.
• Experience with operational excellence methodologies such as Lean, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, or similar.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and compliance within production environments.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where balancing short-term operational demands with long-term improvements is essential.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate performance metrics into actionable
• ZZP registered and based in the Netherlands.
