Job summary

News Corp in the Netherlands (Utrecht) is hiring a PHP Developer to join the Source Integration Team. You will rebuild critical components, modernize a legacy codebase, and own integrations end to end for a global data platform serving EV charging data.

You will work with PHP (Laravel) and a stack including Go, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, and databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL, in a hybrid setup with three office days per week near Utrecht Central Station.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering, incl. 2+ years PHP (Laravel).
• Experience with PHP stack: Laravel, Go, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Quality-oriented with testing and maintainable code.
• Strong communicator and team player with growth mindset.
• Able to learn new tools quickly and adapt to changing tech.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild critical components of our systems to be future-ready.
• Identify opportunities to improve product, architecture, and systems (performance, scalability, security).
• Provide input on priorities and help manage the roadmap.
