Job summary

Dow Jones & Company, Inc. is hiring a PHP/Laravel developer for the Source Integration Team in Utrecht. You will build and maintain integrations that ingest data from hundreds of providers, transform it, and publish it for downstream consumers.

You’ll report to the Senior Manager, Source Integration. You should have 4+ years of PHP development, including 2+ years with Laravel, and be comfortable with Go, Gitlab-CI, Google Cloud, MySQL or PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in PHP, with at least 2 years hands-on PHP (Laravel).
• Experience with modern backend stacks including Go, Gitlab-CI, GCP, databases, containers.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code and tests.
• Strong communication and teamwork; proactive in improving architecture.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild critical components to be future-ready.
• Identify and propose improvements to product, architecture, performance, and security.
• Contribute to roadmap priorities and drive end-to-end ownership of integrations.
