Job summary

Trinamics is seeking an experienced Machine / Industrial Automation Engineer to design and implement control concepts for high-performance machines. You will coordinate autonomous subsystems and ensure robust behavior across operating conditions, bridging software, electronics and mechanics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Controls, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Affinity with software development and bridging mechatronics and software engineering.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Experience with sequencing, scheduling, state modelling, autonomous systems, system networks and fault handling.

Responsibilities

Design and optimize control and automation logic for complex mechatronic systems.
Develop sequencing, scheduling and state-based models for machine behavior.
Coordinate autonomous subsystems and ensure consistent system-level operation.
Analyze system networks, communication flows and timing constraints.
Develop fault handling, damage control and safe recovery strategies.
Design mode switching for hybrid systems with multiple operating states.
Define calibration, performance monitoring and diagnostic concepts.
Build and validate dynamic and simulation models using model-based engineering.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
Contribute to the technical direction of projects across disciplines.
