Job summary

Wärtsilä in Drunen (The Netherlands) seeks a Lead Engineer, Mechanical – Thrusters PDM & Portfolio Maintenance to own the technical readiness and lifecycle management of the global thruster portfolio.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, standardize workflows, and drive data‑driven engineering practices across engineering, manufacturing, and service to enable fast decisions and high‑quality product data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with leading projects and project teams in an international matrix organisation.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (NX) and PLM/PDM systems such as Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical design integrity and technical performance of the thruster portfolio.
• Review and approve mechanical designs, 3D models and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead portfolio maintenance activities and ensure data quality across products.
