Job summary

Keiron Printing Technologies in Eindhoven is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to own the mechanical design of our advanced printing equipment based on LIFT technology. You will set technical direction within a multidisciplinary team and ensure high standards of quality, performance and innovation.

The role requires 10+ years in mechanical development, senior leadership experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks (PDM, 3D modeling, and simulation).

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar education.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical development, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Proven track record in developing complex mechanical systems, preferably in printing or high-precision equipment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks (PDM, 3D modeling, simulation and detailed 2D drawings).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and align diverse teams.
• Familiarity with laser-based technologies.
• Knowledge of automation and control systems.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of system and module design and oversee project planning and execution.
• Drive the mechanical design process from concept to detailed engineering.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with software, electrical and research teams.
• Define and implement strategies for continuous improvement and manufacturability.
• Test and validate designs, ensuring performance and quality standards.
• Ensure accurate engineering documentation and design specifications.
