Job summary

Forexx Group in Eindhoven, Netherlands, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Designer to translate system requirements into innovative, manufacturable mechanical designs and to collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary teams on advanced products.

The role involves designing concepts, performing tolerance analyses, 3D visualization, and ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency, and seamless integration with suppliers. Hybrid work and flexible hours are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Solid experience in designing complex mechanical or mechatronic systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to technical challenges
• Knowledge of design principles related to manufacturability and product lifecycle
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to guide or support team members

Responsibilities

• Translate specifications into mechanical concepts and detailed design solutions
• Perform calculations, tolerance analyses, and define critical design parameters
• Develop and visualize designs in 3D in collaboration with engineers and system architects
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, testing, and cost
• Collaborate with suppliers to align on feasibility, components, and integration
• Take ownership of complex design challenges within the mechanical domain
• Provide technical guidance and mentor engineers and junior designers
