Job summary

Tree Composites in Delft seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Lead to own day-to-day manufacturing and lead five engineers, balancing hands-on work and team leadership. You will guide process development, automation, and industrialisation with the CTO and a Technical Advisor, shaping future manufacturing methods.

You should bring deep composites experience, shop-floor pragmatism, and a track record of leadership. EU work permission is required; the role offers significant autonomy and growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing engineering experience with composites.
• Proven leadership of small teams and ability to coach engineers.
• Strong problem-solving on the shop floor with pragmatic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day Manufacturing team activities and priorities.
• Coach team members through regular feedback and 1:1s.
• Lead technical and manufacturing meetings; drive decisions and actions.
• Be present on the shop floor to troubleshoot and solve manufacturing problems.
• Leverage composites expertise to guide engineering decisions with CTO and engineers.
• Improve processes for safety, reliability, repeatability and scale-up.
• Drive manufacturing automation initiatives with engineers and partners.
