Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Eindhoven is seeking a Senior HPC Linux DevOps Engineer to join our HPC team in R&D IT. You will design and automate large-scale HPC and VDI environments, build CI/CD pipelines, and drive IaC adoption across multiple data centers.

You will collaborate with global teams, implement scalable, secure Linux configurations, and contribute to on-call readiness and continuous improvement in a fast-paced research setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, automation or platform engineering.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, Perl).
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
• CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Linux system administration (RedHat or similar).
• Extensive AWS experience and cloud automation.
• Lean/Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement automation for Linux HPC services at scale.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Develop and maintain system configurations, base images, and deployment strategies.
• Create reusable automation libraries, scripts, and tooling.
• Oversee configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Linux systems; ensure performance, reliability, and security.
• Create and enforce policies for Linux administration, security, and compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and collaborate with global teams.
• Engage in Agile activities and continuously improve delivered solutions.
