Job summary

Innatera Nanosystems BV is seeking an experienced System Engineer (Linux) with DevOps focus to manage our Linux compute servers and CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid Dutch R&D environment.

You will automate provisioning, optimize Ceph storage, and support end-user computing while contributing to datacenter operations and documentation. The role requires strong Linux, virtualization, and scripting skills within a fast-growing semiconductor setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing complex on-prem Linux compute environments with mission-critical R&D operations.
• Experience building automated provisioning workflows using Ansible, Cobbler, Uyuni, FreeIPA.
• Proven proficiency in designing and integrating GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Proxmox) and Ceph storage clusters.
• Experience with Linux distributions (RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu) in bare-metal and virtual infra.
• Experience in end-user Linux systems management including macOS/Windows.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and procedures.
• Comfortable with varying sprint workloads.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain Linux-based compute servers/desktops and provide end-user support.
• Design and scale automated OS deployment and configuration management workflows (Ansible, Cobbler, Uyuni, FreeIPA).
• Integrate GitLab CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery for R&D teams.
• Architect and optimize Ceph distributed storage for high throughput and low latency.
• Maintain comprehensive technical docs and SOPs for infra.
• Assist with datacenter operations including racking, cabling, and equipment servicing.
