Job summary

The European Space Agency (ESA) invites applications for the IRIS² Lead Ground Segment Service Engineer within the Secure Connectivity programme.

Reporting to the Head of the Secure Connectivity Ground Segment & Operations Office, you will supervise all ground segment service engineering tasks related to design and development of infrastructure delivering end-user services, operated by GOVSATCOM Hub and commercial operators.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in engineering required, four years relevant professional experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, planning and organisational abilities; customer-focused attitude.
• Experience with service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL/TMF) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervising end-to-end technical requirements lifecycle for the IRIS² ground-segment service components (OSS/BSS).
• Coordinating with operations, security, and service management to ensure cohesive workflows.
• Supporting integration with 5G Core related architectures and lifecycle management activities.
