Job summary

Lucky Kat is seeking a Senior Game Artist to define the visual direction for mobile titles, from concepts to playable prototypes. You will create production-ready 2D and 3D assets and lead a small team of artists, ensuring art, gameplay and feel align across multiple prototypes.

You will collaborate with developers and producers to balance speed, quality and scope, using Unity and AI-assisted tools for rapid ideation, while commuting to The Hague office at least three days a week.

Qualifications

• A deep seated passion and curiosity for games.
• Strong professional experience as Senior Artist or Lead Artist.
• Knowledge of KPIs such as Audience Split and Cost Per Install.
• Strong portfolio with stylised 2D and 3D art, lowpoly assets, stylised characters.
• Strong 3D generalist skills: modelling, UVs, texturing, rigging, animation.
• Good sense of composition, colour, readability and visual hierarchy.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion).
• Comfortable in fast-paced prototyping, multi-prototype work.
• Able to balance visual quality with production time and lead a small team.
• Clear communicator; provide direction and feedback to artists.
• Willingness to self-learn new tools/tech.
• Fluent in English and able to commute to The Hague office.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the visual direction of our games from early concepts to polished prototypes.
• Create game-ready 2D and 3D assets across the production pipeline.
• Collaborate closely with developers and producers to ensure art, gameplay and feel align.
• Provide clear direction and feedback to a small team of artists to maintain visual consistency.
• Improve and refine the art pipeline and development processes.
