Job summary

Workwize is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to drive end-to-end features using AI tooling and strong architectural guidance. You will coach engineers, push for process improvements, and partner with engineering managers and product managers to align technical work with business goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, initiative, and the ability to connect product outcomes to company strategy while operating in a remote NL/UK-based setup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building software at product companies.
• Currently a Senior Software Engineer, Lead Engineer, Tech Lead or similar.
• Excellent architectural understanding and trade-off reasoning.
• AI-enabled development practices and tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature work end to end: scope with PM, architectural calls, determine trade-offs, own live results.
• Use agents and AI tooling as the default approach and uplift the team.
• Coach engineers, including non-juniors, through pairing and feedback.
• Drive process improvements with measured impact and buy-in.
• Partner with EM and PM, challenge roadmaps, surface issues early.
• Show linkage between shipped work and company goals with metrics.
