Job summary

Payter is seeking a technical leader to define the architecture and drive engineering culture for a cloud-native payments platform. You will shape ADRs, mentor engineers, and deliver scalable microservices in Go and Java, plus Angular-based web interfaces.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with leadership.
• Strong Go and Java production experience in distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript with Angular.
• Proven track record building cloud-native systems on GCP with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD and Terraform for IaC.
• Ability to lead technical projects end-to-end and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, NATS) and GraphQL security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of cross-functional squads, owning architectural decisions and coding standards.
• Design and build high-performance microservices (Go, Java) and AI-driven interfaces (Angular).
• Architect and manage secure, cloud-native infrastructure (GCP, Kubernetes) with IaC and CI/CD.
• Optimize SQL/NoSQL performance and ensure reliability with testing, observability, and security.
• Mentor engineers and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
