Job summary

Royal Van Lent, based in Amsterdam, seeks a senior exterior engineer to own the design and delivery of the exterior discipline on superyachts up to 160 metres. You will develop final designs and 3D models, validating specifications to meet Class and Flag requirements before production release.

You will assess supplier proposals, coordinate with other discipline engineers, and mentor juniors while delivering on time, budget and quality targets for a one-year assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Naval or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in shipbuilding with team leadership experience.
• Proficiency in 3D design tools (AutoCAD); NX/Teamcenter/Cadmatic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering scope of the exterior discipline; manage quality, budget and delivery deadlines.
• Develop and validate final design, technical specs and 3D models for exterior systems; ensure Class and Flag compliance.
