Job summary

McFly & Brown is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large topside offshore substations projects in Rotterdam. You will steer schedules, budgets and contracts, acting as the primary client contact and coordinating multiple stakeholders to deliver results.

The role requires roughly 10 years in offshore project management, strong leadership, English fluency (Dutch a plus) and experience with EPC(I) project management and ERP tools. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in offshore.
• Experience with cost control, project planning and ERP software.
• Ability to lead complex projects and coordinate clients, contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning and negotiation skills; excellent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with EPC(I) project management and planning software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Work on complex offshore projects that play an important role in the further development of offshore wind energy. As Senior Project Manager, you will take the lead on large-scale topside projects for offshore substations and act as the central point of contact for clients and project stakeholders. You combine technical insight with commercial and contractual project management and manage projects with a strong focus on schedule, budget, quality and results. A senior position with significant responsibility within a specialised offshore engineering environment.

Your responsibilities

• You lead large topside projects and monitor schedules, budgets, contractual agreements and project results.
• You manage internal and external stakeholders and act as the main point of contact for the client.
• You monitor project requirements, changes, risks, contractual matters and commercial opportunities.
• Where required, you are involved in tender processes and advise on optimisations, feasibility and project risks.
• You motivate the project team, provide structure and ensure that different disciplines work together effectively.

You will join a specialised engineering and consultancy company that has been active in the offshore industry for more than 40 years. The organisation supports clients throughout the entire lifecycle of offshore projects: from concept development and engineering to fabrication, installation and ultimately decommissioning. The company has extensive expertise in fixed-bottom offshore assets, foundations and topsides. The culture is international, informal and pragmatic, with short lines of communication and plenty of room for individual responsibility.

Your profile

• You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• You have approximately 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the offshore industry.
• You have experience with cost control, project planning and ERP software.
• You are accustomed to leading complex projects and working with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
• You possess strong leadership, communication, planning and negotiation skills and have an excellent command of English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with EPC(I) project management and planning software is an advantage.
