Job summary

Mercury is recruiting an Electrical Engineer for a major Groningen project in the Netherlands. You will manage the electrical systems on site, coordinate with client design teams, main contractor, suppliers and sub-contractors, and oversee BIM-based installation drawings and RFIs.

You will drive site safety, QA, and schedule management, ensuring compliance with project specifications and QA plans while leading a team of engineers and supporting junior staff to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a Mechanical/Electrical contractor environment.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient IT and engineering software skills, including CAD/BIM.

Responsibilities

• Manage the electrical systems under your control on site.
• Coordinate with client design team, main contractor, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Oversee design/IFC specs and translate into installation drawings by BIM personnel; manage RFIs and technical queries.
• Lead site safety efforts with Project Manager and Safety Advisor; maintain safety file and QA processes.
• Ensure works comply with project specs and QA plan; support construction management and handover activities.
