FairPlay Engineering is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead on-site testing and commissioning of data centre power distribution across the EMEA region, delivering safe, compliant installations. You will coordinate activities, verify performance against specs, and prepare commissioning reports, with travel and potential team leadership on larger projects.
The role requires a degree in Electrical/Power Engineering, hands-on MV/LV experience, and strong English communication.
We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer with a passion for troubleshooting, testing, and delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale data centre projects across the EMEA region, supporting the commissioning and successful delivery of mission-critical power distribution systems in an international environment.
You will join a specialised Site Support team responsible for on-site project execution, testing, and commissioning activities. Working alongside engineers, site supervisors, project managers, customers, and contractors, the team plays a vital role in ensuring that complex electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will act as the on-site technical representative throughout the commissioning phase of data centre projects. You will coordinate and execute testing and commissioning activities, verify system performance against technical specifications, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements. Depending on project size, you may personally perform commissioning activities or lead a team responsible for implementation. In addition, you will support project meetings, manage commissioning documentation, oversee work planning, resolve technical issues, and contribute to the successful handover of electrical systems to customers. Extensive travel throughout the EMEA region is an essential part of this role.
