Job summary

Lutech Resources is seeking a Principal Electrical Designer to lead and coordinate electrical design activities in complex projects. The role requires extensive experience in offshore engineering, detailed 2D/3D design, and strong collaboration across disciplines to ensure clash-free, compliant deliverables.

The candidate will drive design quality, manage resources, and support proposals with estimates while adhering to MDR procedures and project timelines.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with a diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Design.
• 10 years minimum with major contractor or consultant, with 5+ years in oil and gas.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation; familiarity with E3D and/or S3D.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate with disciplines.
• QA Systems knowledge and a good communicator.
• Experience in project coordination and execution skills.
• Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Auto Lisp Programming, 3D Modeling and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the discipline design team for detailed drawings.
• Develop 3D models and ensure clash-free interfaces with other disciplines.
• Prepare drawings and design deliverables per MDR and project specs.
• Review vendor drawings and provide data for discipline drawings.
• Interface with other disciplines to define interfaces and schedules.
• Lead the Change Management process and support variation orders.
