Job summary

Lynx Beleggen in Amsterdam seeks a Team Lead Client Governance & Control to own the client governance domain, ensure accurate documentation and policy alignment, and drive improvement. You will act as a business enabler, balancing compliance with delivering value to clients.

You will lead the team, partner with Client Services, Product, Compliance, Finance, and Operations, overseeing tax statements, reporting, and control design, while fostering automation and enterprise-grade quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial services, brokerage, or a comparable client-focused environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing specialists in operational, control, or governance-related functions.
• Strong analytical skills and experience overseeing financial calculations, reconciliations, or reporting logic.
• Combine client focus, operational pragmatism, and regulatory awareness in decision-making.
• Structured, decisive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, multi-market environment.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence across departments.
• Drive continuous improvement and challenge the status quo.
• Nice to have: experience in an online broker or investment firm across European markets; experience automating control frameworks or reporting; cross-border retail investor tax familiarity; work with Compliance and Legal while maintaining business ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own one of LYNX’s most critical operational governance domains and ensure client-related documentation and policies are accurate.
• Develop and strengthen governance and control framework across client-facing processes.
• Scale the governance framework while building a high-performing team focused on quality, automation, and operational excellence.
• Oversee Tax Statement Ownership, Tax Reporting Oversight, Tax Logic Governance, and Fiscal Expertise Management.
• Design, implement, and improve first line controls for high-risk client processes (e.g., best execution, tax reconciliation, product governance).
• Drive automation and efficiency in governance and control processes to enhance scalability and reduce risk.
• Ensure policy and documentation ownership are up-to-date, compliant, and aligned with processes.
• Safeguard the quality and timeliness of client complaint handling and estate case processing.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Client Governance & Control team; foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Client Services, Product, Compliance, Finance, and Operations.
