Job summary

Nebul is building Europe’s sovereign AI cloud and is seeking a Golang Backend Software Engineer to design and deliver production-grade backend services powering Nexus, Nebul’s orchestration layer.

You’ll design and develop Go-based APIs and controllers, enabling orchestration of infrastructure and services. This role emphasizes scalable backend software, APIs, and event-driven workflows in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong Go software engineering experience.
  • Experience designing and building backend services and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and software architecture.
  • Experience with concurrency and event-driven processing.
  • Experience with databases, queues and service-to-service communication.
  • Understanding of API design, versioning and backward compatibility.
  • Experience building observable, production-grade software.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization and RBAC.
  • Ownership mindset to turn complex requirements into clean abstractions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable backend services in Go.
  • Develop REST and/or gRPC APIs.
  • Build controllers and orchestration services for infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Design asynchronous workflows for long-running operations.
  • Create abstractions over compute, Kubernetes, networking and storage infrastructure.
  • Build reliable state-management and reconciliation mechanisms.
  • Integrate with Nebul Platform, Infrastructure and Datacenter APIs.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, RBAC and policy enforcement.
  • Design services for resilience, observability and fault tolerance.
  • Write tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
