Job summary

Hyperion Automation in the Netherlands seeks an Applications Engineer to lead the development of technical solutions and proposals for turnkey automation projects, including AMRs, robotic cells, vision systems, retrofits, and integrations.

This role blends deep applications engineering with client-facing sales responsibilities. You will own concepts, lead proposal presentations, and support process improvements within Sales applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
3+ years in automation applications, systems engineering, or technical sales.
Proven experience developing concepts and proposals for custom automation systems.
Experience leading client-facing technical discussions and proposal presentations.

Responsibilities

Protect and cultivate our relationship-driven sales culture with clear communication and follow-through.
Lead development of concepts, layouts, and technical solutions for turnkey automation projects (AMRs, robot cells, vision systems, retrofits).
Conduct structured technical discovery with clients and internal teams to clarify requirements and risks.
Develop and write comprehensive technical proposals including scope, assumptions, deliverables, risks, and schedules.
Lead client presentations and proposal reviews, communicating concepts, assumptions, risks, and value.
