Job summary

Air Apps is seeking a Software Architect / Solutions Architect to define and oversee the architecture of our AI-powered platform. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business goals.

You will shape our technology strategy, evaluate new tools/frameworks, and codify best practices in software design, cloud infrastructure, and system integration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
• Expertise in system design, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.
• Proficient with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures.
• Backend experience (Node.js, Python, Java, .NET) and modern frontend (React, Angular, Vue).
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, data pipelines, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall architecture and system design for scalable software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and promote best practices for architecture and scalability.
• Design and document high-level system diagrams, data flows, and API structures.
• Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and cloud services to optimize performance and security.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security in architectural decisions.
• Oversee system integrations including microservices, APIs, and third-party services.
• Collaborate with DevOps/SRE to ensure smooth deployment and reliability.
• Set coding and architecture standards for maintainable codebases.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks for future scalability.
• Conduct architecture reviews and performance audits to improve efficiency.
