Job summary

Maandag Nordic seeks a Lead AI & Automation Engineer to drive an AI-native workflow across Data Center, Network, Security and End User Services. You will own the AI/automation roadmap and shepherd ideas from PoC to production while coaching engineers and setting standards.

This role emphasizes hands-on engineering with Python/PowerShell, AI platforms, and enterprise automation within a remote EU context.

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone with strong enterprise automation, AI engineering, platform engineering or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience taking AI or automation solutions from POC to secure, production-ready implementations.
• Hands-on experience with Python and/or PowerShell, APIs, Git and Infrastructure-as-Code.

We are looking for a Lead AI & Automation Engineer to join a global, technology-driven organization with a long history of innovation and a strong ambition to shape the future through technology. As part of the Global Information Services organization, you will lead the development of an AI-native way of working across Data Center, Network, Cyber Security and End User Services.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will own the AI and automation roadmap, translate operational challenges into practical solutions, and take ideas all the way from proof of concept to secure, production-ready services.You will work across AI, automation, infrastructure and enterprise platforms, building everything from intelligent incident triage and knowledge search to AI assistants, autonomous agents and self-healing workflows. You will also coach engineers, establish technical standards and help shape how AI and automation are adopted across the organization.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the technology and wants to combine deep engineering expertise with technical leadership.

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience within enterprise automation, AI engineering, platform engineering or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience taking AI or automation solutions from POC to secure, supportable production.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or PowerShell, APIs, Git and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD and enterprise automation.
• Experience integrating platforms across infrastructure, security, workplace and service management.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents and modern AI platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio or similar technologies.
• Understanding of AIOps, observability, automated remediation and SRE practices.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow is highly valuable.
• Strong understanding of AI security, governance, access control and human-in-the-loop principles.
• The ability to lead technical discussions and explain complex technology in clear business language.
• A degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
