Job summary

Destinus is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in the Netherlands. You will lead mechanical design projects across airframe, propulsion, and related systems throughout the lifecycle, delivering CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and analyses.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace, strong CAD/PLM skills, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter. Collaboration with suppliers and internal teams is essential in a fast-paced

Qualifications

BSc./MSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
+5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in aerospace.
Excellent CAD and PLM knowledge - part design, DWGs, DMU management.
ISO GD&T knowledge required.
Fluent in English as working language.

Responsibilities

Lead design projects for aerospace components and systems from conceptual phase through manufacturing to integration and testing.
Generate 3D CAD models, drawings, schematics, BOMs, and related documentation for manufacturing and testing.
Deliver technical documentation including engineering calculations and assumptions.
Prepare and participate in design reviews.
Manage suppliers and manufacturers during the manufacturing process.
Select standard parts and fasteners following industry standards.
Contribute to DMU and configuration management.
