Job summary

GXO Logistics is opening a brand-new Amsterdam site and is seeking a Team Leader to guide a growing warehouse team. You will influence performance, shape processes, and help build the operation from the ground up while supporting your colleagues’ development.

You will lead a team of 7-8 direct reports initially, with potential expansion as the site scales. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency and continuous improvement in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Team Leader or similar leadership role within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or distribution is preferred.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse colleagues, fostering a positive, safe and high-performing team culture.
• Drive performance through clear communication, coaching and a structured and process-focused approach, including hiring and development.
• Own daily operations, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, safely and to high standards.
• Lead startup meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement them.
