Job summary

Albert Heijn is transforming its Finance-related applications. As a Backend Developer you will join the Sales Accounting DevOps team, building Kotlin microservices on Azure while maintaining existing data flows.

You will split time between new development and keeping current processes running, helping drive architectural decisions and ownership within the team. You will work with stakeholders and Product Owners to translate requirements into scalable backend solutions, participate in on-call

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable backend systems with Kotlin or Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka) and designing scalable backend services.
• Cloud-native environments, Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Relational databases with focus on scalability and data integrity.
• Experience taking technical ownership and mentoring developers.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
• Based in the Netherlands and hybrid from Zaandam.
• Willing to participate in on-call/standby rotation.
