Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is seeking a friendly Kitchen Steward / Afwasser to maintain spotless hygiene in our kitchens and back-of-house areas. You will support the kitchen team, handle dishwashing, and help keep equipment pristine while following HACCP and safety standards.

This flexible 0-hour role is ideal for students or anyone seeking extra work alongside studies. English communication is required, and eligibility to work in the Netherlands is essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain china, glassware, silverware, kitchen utensils, and chefs' equipment to the highest standards.
• Carry out dishwashing and deep-cleaning duties for kitchen machinery, kitchen areas, storage facilities, and back-of-house colleague areas.
• Ensure all cleaning activities are completed in accordance with hygiene, HACCP, Health & Safety, and company standards.
• Support the kitchen and Food & Beverage teams by maintaining clean, organised, and safe working environments.
• Report maintenance issues, incidents, accidents, and safety concerns while following company procedures and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.

Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is located just 10 minutes from Schiphol Airport and offers a free shuttle service for both guests and team members. With 342 rooms and extensive meeting and event facilities, no two days are ever the same.

As a Kitchen Steward / Afwasser, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout our kitchens and back-of-house areas. Working closely with the kitchen team, you will play a key role in supporting efficient operations and creating a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for both guests and colleagues.

This flexible 0-hour position is ideal for students, hospitality starters, or anyone looking for an extra job alongside their studies, family commitments, or other work.

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in a Steward, Kitchen Porter, Cleaning, or Hospitality Support role.
• Basic knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and cleaning procedures.
• Experience working in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment.
• Interest in developing a career in hospitality or becoming a Chef in the future.
