SANY Group in Den Haag, Netherlands, seeks a Senior Account Manager to lead key account management, growth, and market strategy in the Benelux region. You will build long-term relationships with major customers and work with local dealers and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Lead opportunities across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, drive direct sales of excavators and heavy equipment, and report progress and forecasts while traveling regularly within the region.
1. Key Account Management
Serve as the main point of contact for strategic customers, major rental companies, construction companies, contractors, large fleet owners and other key market stakeholders in the Benelux region.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
Understand customer needs, business challenges, project requirements and purchasing processes to provide suitable product and business solutions.
Act as the communication bridge between key customers, local dealers and SANY’s internal teams.
Identify, approach and develop new key customers and business opportunities in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Drive direct sales opportunities for excavators, earthmoving machinery and other heavy construction equipment.
Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets, revenue growth and market share improvement.
Support local dealers in developing key customers and improving market coverage where relevant.
Develop and implement strategies to increase SANY’s market share, brand penetration and customer coverage in the Benelux region.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer needs and industry developments.
Collect customer feedback, product requirements and market insights, and communicate them to relevant business units and R&D teams.
Support market segmentation and local go-to-market planning.
Work closely with dealers, service teams, product teams, technical teams and external attachment suppliers to ensure that SANY provides the right product solutions for customers.
Support cooperation between SANY and local dealers to improve customer coverage and service quality.
Provide input to marketing activities and support the creation and updating of price lists, catalogues, campaigns, promotions and other sales materials.
Conduct regular visits to key customers, dealers, end users, project sites and industry trade fairs across the Benelux region.
Prepare regular progress reports, sales forecasts, market analyses, presentations and account performance updates.
Communicate and report regularly to relevant internal stakeholders within the business.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in Engineering, Business, Sales or another relevant discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of sales, key account management or business development experience in heavy construction equipment, such as excavators, wheel loaders, earthmoving machinery, compact equipment or similar machinery.
Experience working with major rental companies, construction companies, contractors, fleet customers, dealers or other large industry customers would be a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of the Benelux construction equipment market would be highly valued.
Existing relationships with major customers, rental companies, contractors, dealers or industry stakeholders in Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg would be a clear advantage.
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capability.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sales-driven attitude.
Ability to manage key accounts, support dealer cooperation and identify new business opportunities.
Good commercial awareness and market analysis capability.
Good knowledge of standard business software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Fluency in English, Dutch or French is required.
Willingness to travel regular across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
