Job summary

Demcon is seeking a junior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Life Sciences & Health division in Delft. You’ll work on projects for life sciences clients, including medical devices and wearables, within multidisciplinary teams to develop concepts from scratch to working prototypes.

You’ll analyze specifications, perform calculations and tests, and contribute to the detailed design and validation, collaborating with mechanics, electronics, and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• Interest in sensors, actuators, motors, and measurement/control technology.
• Proactive attitude and teamwork experience.
• Knowledge of programming (MATLAB/Python) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechatronic designs from concept to prototype with a view to mass production.
• Analyze specifications, perform calculations, analyses and tests in the concept phase.
• Select sensors, actuators and components; set up the control system; integrate subsystems.
• Develop detailed design per ISO 13485; prepare documentation and participate in verification.
