Job summary

Consortio Recruitment Group is partnering with a specialist engineering business to recruit a Junior Shipbuilding / Marine Systems Designer. The role focuses on supporting the design of ship systems, generating 3D CAD models and manufacturing documentation under supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical or naval engineering degree, with initial design experience and proficiency in NX or Creo, plus English and either German or Dutch language skills.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Marine Engineering or related discipline.
• Some initial design or engineering experience; graduates considered.
• Experience using a 3D CAD system, ideally Siemens NX, Creo or similar.
• Good understanding of mechanical assemblies and technical systems.
• Comfort with technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Structured, accurate and independent work style; strong team player.
• Good German OR Dutch and English language skills.
• Maritime systems experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of ship systems and components.
• Produce 3D CAD models, technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Support the design process and progressively take on more responsibility.
• Collaborate with engineers on varied maritime development projects.
