About the role
Your primary responsibility is to maintain, develop, improve, and scale Chargetrip’s infrastructure. Our EV routing services are used by drivers all over the world and keeping them running and stable is a challenge you will work closely on with our Infrastructure and Backend teams.
You know how to standardize deployments, ensure infrastructure is audit‑able, and know‑how to automate various deployment processes.
You understand how software is built with microservices and how to tailor infrastructure as code tools to meet the needs of our engineering teams and increase productivity, repeatability, and security of the infrastructure.
What we are looking for
- General Linux knowledge: Proficiency in a Linux environment, including command‑line navigation, system administration, and using systemd for service management.
- Networking Fundamentals: A solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, with the ability to perform basic network troubleshooting.
- Version Control: Working knowledge of Git for collaborative development and code management.
Nice-to-have
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with IaC concepts and some hands‑on experience with a tool like Terraform or Crossplane.
- Containers: Foundational knowledge of containers and hands‑on experience with Docker. Experience with Kubernetes is a significant plus.
- Scripting: Experience with at least one scripting language, such as Bash or Python, for task automation.
- Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of databases, including SQL and concepts related to NoSQL or in‑memory caches like Redis.
- GitOps: Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD.
- Monitoring: Experience with the Prometheus monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager), or oTel.
- Cloud: Any relevant AWS or cloud experience.
- Programming: Knowledge of other scripting languages like NodeJS.
- Networking: Load‑balancers, reverse proxies, VPNs.
